Still Got That Hunger

By the start of the new millennium, rodford’s son steve on drums, recruiting bassist Jim Rodford formerly of ARGENT and The Kinks, Blunstone and Argent were inspired to resurrect The Zombies, and renowned session guitarist Tom Toomey. The new album, slated for a fall 2015 release, still Got That Hunger, was produced by Chris Potter The Verve Urban Hymns, Rolling Stones Steel Wheels.

Released 50 years ago, and celebrated in this new book, the Zombies' final album Odessey and Oracle is a masterpiece of '60s rock I remember first hearing 'She’s Not There' on the radio in my bedroom. So ethereal. So spooky. Additionally, the odessey is rich with reflections from music journalists, who wrote the foreword, friends and fans, Brian Wilson, Paul Weller, Carlos Santana, Graham Nash, including Tom Petty, Susanna Hoffs, Clive Davis, Nate Ruess of FUN and members of Cage the Elephant and Beach House.

The Decca Stereo Anthology

And several tracks from the Decca period have never ever appeared in stereo before at all. After their demise, a staff producer did some hasty remixes of their hits plus a few album/singles tracks: these are the stereo versions that have subsequently circulated on various reissues over the years. Big beat has gone back to the original session tapes and remixed everything in a more sympathetic fashion, replicating the original mono reverb and EQ, and reinstating edits and overdubs wherever possible.
